Circular or Cylindrical Filter - Single Stage - Prefix "UC"
- First set of 2 or 3 digits of part number represent the outside diameter (in mm) of the original filter
- Second set of 2 or 3 digits of part number represent the height (in mm) of the original filter
- Expanded steel mesh support cage with edge beading
- Cage may be either painted or plated if operating conditions require
- Foam may be removed from cage for servicing

- Dimensions as per "UC" single stage above
- Letter "S" at the end of the part number indicates a 2-stage filter with the second stage incorporated within the outside diameter measurement
- Letters "ST" following the part number also indicates a 2-stage filter but with the second stage added to the outside diameter measurement
- Cage as per "UC" single stage above
- Both foams can be removed from cage for servicing
- Example: UC355 100S or UC263 60ST

- Dimensions as per "UC" two stage above
- "KC" filters are supplied with a press fit aluminium lid and grommet.
- Lid and foams can be removed for servicing
- Cage as per "UC" single stage above

Cylindrical Filter - Two Stage - Prefix "CKC"
- Dimensions as per "UC" two stage above
- "CKC" filters are supplied with a closed, press fit aluminium lid and bung.
- Lid and foams can be removed for servicing
- Cage generally twin expanded mesh on polyol base with spacer foam

Oval Filter - Two Stage - Prefix "UL"
- First set of 3 digits of part number represent the overall length (in mm) of the box section of the original filter
- Second set of 2 or 3 digits of part number represent the height (in mm) of the original filter
- Letter "S" at the end of the part number indicates a 2-stage filter with the second stage incorporated within the outside diameter measurement
- Letters "ST" following the part number also indicates a 2-stage filter but with the second stage added to the outside diameter measurement

- First set of 3 digits of part number represent the overall length (in mm) of the box section of the original filter
- Second set of 3 digits of part number represent the width (in mm) of the box section of the original filter
- Letter "S" at the end of the part number indicates a 2-stage filter with both foam stages being removable from the painted, metal case for servicing

Flat Panel Filter - Two Stage - Prefix "UT"
- First set of 3 digits of part number represent the overall length (in mm) of the box section of the original filter
- Second set of 3 digits of part number represent the width (in mm) of the box section of the original filter
- Bonded foam, envelope style with internal flat metal cage removable for servicing
- This style of filter is designed for low volume production for use where the original filter airbox has poor sealing qualities

Flat Panel Filter - Multi Stage - Prefix "UF"
- First set of 3 digits of part number represent the approximate length (in mm) of original filter
- Second set of 3 digits of part number represent the approximate width (in mm) of original filter
- This style of filter is multi-layered, usually 4, and is used to replace original filters of irregular shape and generally with a flat seal
- Foam layers cannot be removed from filter cage. Filter serviced by washing or brushing off dirt

- Second set of 3 digits of part number represent the approximate width (in mm) of original filter
- Internal cage as for "UC" style filters
- Letters "ST" following the part number indicate a 2-stage filter but with the second stage added to the outside diameter measurement
- Foam(s) removable from cage for servicing
- Example: UR172 55ST

- 3 digits within part number represent the diameter (in mm) of box section of original filter
- Letter "S" at the end of the part number indicates a 2-stage filter with 2nd stage foam being removable from the cage for servicing
- Accompanying photograph shows "UTC"-style filter alongside original filter
- Example: UTC 205S

- 3 digits within Part number are manufacturer's numbering only
- Inner foam layer is bonded to both top and bottom filter lids
